    Brass and silver items develop a natural patina over time, which adds character and beauty to the jewelry.  If you prefer to restore the shine on your piece, you can clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth (specifically for polishing silver and brass). Please note that etched and oxidized pieces may lose their finish if polished aggressively.  To delay oxidation, keep your Carolyn Keys jewelry away from moisture, lotions and other beauty products.  When you’re not wearing your jewelry it is best to store it in a plastic bag.

    From a young age Carolyn’s father engaged her in woodshop projects that sparked her curiosity for materials, processes, and design. After spending ten years as an architectural designer, she left her desk job and returned to her roots in the workshop. Growing up around the woodlands of eastern Pennsylvania, Carolyn developed a lifelong love of the natural world. This, paired with an urban edginess, defines the Carolyn Keys aesthetic. Carolyn has a strict no-computer ethos. Each piece is hand constructed with care using traditional techniques.
