Are your earrings suitable for sensitive ears?

Many of our earrings feature 14k gold-fill or sterling silver ear wires and posts. Some designs use surgical steel posts or 14k gold-plated posts described by their makers as hypoallergenic. Because sensitivities vary, we recommend checking the materials listed on each product page to find the best option for you.

Are your earrings nickel-free?

Many of our earrings feature nickel-free components, but materials vary by artist and design. Surgical steel and gold-plated components are not necessarily nickel-free. If you have a known nickel allergy, please contact us before purchasing so we can help verify the materials.

What is gold-fill jewelry?

Gold-fill consists of a substantial layer of real gold mechanically bonded to a base metal, typically brass. It contains significantly more gold than standard gold-plated jewelry and is designed for lasting wear with proper care.

Is sterling silver a good choice for sensitive ears?

Sterling silver is made from 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, typically copper. It can be a good option for some people with sensitive ears, although individual reactions vary. Check each product description for details about the ear wires or posts.
