Crown & Heart
Before founding Crown & Heart, Sara Kharatyan spent ten years teaching elementary art. Her interests have spanned drawing, painting, printmaking, graphic design, ceramics, and fiber, with her jewelry bringing together her passions for painting and ceramics. The name Crown & Heart is a nod to her maiden family name, Crownhart.
From her home studio in Parkville, just outside Kansas City, Sara hand-forms, hand-paints, and assembles every porcelain piece. By pairing classic shapes with bold colors and varied textures, she creates wearable art that ranges from fun everyday pieces to real conversation starters.
